Ophthalmologist assessments are usually several examinations specific to certain issues that are carried out and documented in a standardised form. Among the most common are driving licence assessments, which are required, for example, to drive lorries (over 3.5 tonnes) or to transport people. However, some employers also require a computer workstation examination to be carried out.
Our team around Doctor-medic Roxana Fulga is there for you for all these and other examinations. You can have the following ophthalmological examinations carried out by us:
- Driving licence vision test for all categories
- Driving licence certificate for all categories (initial issue and renewal)
- Expert opinion for the recreational craft licence
- Fitness to fly examination
- Expert opinion for obtaining blindness benefit or benefits for a severe visual impairment
- Suitability tests (police, fire brigade)
- Screen workstation examination
What is the procedure for an ophthalmological assessment?
Depending on the examination, several examinations are usually carried out. During these, we check the function of the eyes. This is followed by an assessment of the organ findings by the ophthalmologist. Such examinations include, for example
- An eye test with and without correction
- An examination of the visual field
- A test of the mobility and interaction of the eyes, examination for double vision
- A colour vision test
- Testing twilight or contrast vision
- A measurement of the glare sensitivity
- An examination of the anterior and posterior segment of the eye using the slit lamp
At the end of an assessment, we will discuss all the findings with you in detail. We will then issue you with a certificate of the examinations carried out if you have passed all the tests in accordance with the regulations of the respective report.
